The girl behind the blog..
Hello! My name is Madison. (You can call me Madi or Mads as well..)
I’m so excited that you found your way to my cozy little corner of this crazy internet world.
I am 23 years old and from a very small town in New Hampshire. This is where I’ve always called home- and despite my love of travel, I will always find my way back here.
I am a Suicide Loss Survivor and this has led me to being an advocate for mental health and suicide prevention. I am a certified Suicide Loss Survivor Speaker and have also been trained in Suicide and Substance Misuse Prevention. I have a passion for raising awareness and ending the stigma surrounding these topics.
I also have a passion for self-care and have embraced a lifestyle of mindfulness and wholehearted living. I am excited to share these skills with you.
I first started blogging in August of 2017, shortly after my younger brother died by suicide. Blogging became a platform to give me a voice and to share his story. Writing was and always will be a form of therapy for me, but for a long time it was something that I preferred to keep private. A few months into my first blog, I found myself struggling with anxiety and depression. That is when I decided to step back and take care of myself.
This was a much needed break to focus on bettering myself and my quality of life.
The Mindful Marigold is very special to me and I am so excited for this next chapter. This blog will still hold the focus on mental health, but I am also excited to share much more with you.
Through this past year, I have worked towards taking control of my life and my happiness. I value being honest with myself and listening to my heart. I have also learned the importance of knowing your limits and how to take care of yourself.
Mindful Marigold is a lifestyle blog with a focus of mental health and self-care. Through my personal struggles, I have started an empowering journey of mindfulness and personal growth that I am here to share with you. My hope is that this blog becomes a place to learn and grow together.
I am not a professional, but I look forward to sharing my stories and advice with you – I think we all have a lot to learn from each other.
Thank you for reading and supporting my journey.
I’m a firm believer in manifesting good things and positive energy. Pick a mantra and repeat it to yourself every morning.
“I am an infinite being, capable of extraordinary things.”
I love hearing from you and I am open to suggestions on blog posts. My inbox is always open if you need someone to talk to as well.
